Weird Particles/Words Explained

(note: all these references, eg “3.1”, “3.2”, etc all appear in the movie clips. Eg 2._ appears is the the 2^nd movie clip, 3._ appears in the 3^rd movie clip, and so on.)

The FULL translation of these sentences can be found in the Dialogue Section (further below).

3.1 你说= nǐ shuo1 = So tell me…

3.2 那就去买处女膜呗 = nà jiù qù mǎi chǔnv mó. 呗 = 吧 (see particles section)

3.3 可便宜了 = kě piányi le. 可 is used for emphasis

3.4 我哪知道. Here, 哪 means “don’t”. ie, I don’t know or How should I know? 哪 usually means “where”.

What to do now?

Go to the website and watch/listern the video again.

If you want to practice writing characters, write down characters that you don’t know.

Copy these characters into an animated writing program, such as this one.

Watch the video again and again until you have memorized how to say all the lines in Chinese (there are 10 lines.)

Practice these lines with a friend/classmate.
